The “Staro Rīga 2014” Festival of Light was as part of the “Riga 2014” Program and was visited by about 500,000 people. This is the seventh time the festival was organized in Riga, but this year the festival was especially spectacular to emphasize Riga’s title of the European Capital of Culture and the 96th anniversary of the Republic of Latvia.
